I’ve been wanting to try these for several years, but they’re just very difficult to get.  Recently though, our friends at Candyhero.com hooked us up with a bag, so when we win, you win.

Although there’s a couple different varieties of this mix, this one is the original.  It contains soft gummies and licorice.  The licorice isn’t of the salty variety, at least by European standards, but it’s got a touch.  The more interesting thing here is the style of the gummies.

There’s a few different flavored gummies, but the texture is the thing with these.  Like Swedish Fish?  Then you’ll love these.  The gummies aren’t tough & chewy like Haribo-they’re more fragrant and soft, almost edging on being jellies.  The overriding adjective I’d use for this mix is “mellow”.  Neither the licorice nor the gummies are intense, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not good.

Above you’ll see all the different kinds of pieces you’ll find in the bag.

I liked this mix, it definitely is solid.  Did it live up to the mystical hype I had built up in my pea-sized brain?  No.  Of course not.  But that’s the rough & tumble candy world, friends.

I’d buy these again, and for those that haven’t tried a gummy/licorice mix, this is a great starter bag.  For Swedish Fish fans, it’s a must buy.
