MattyG gave me two of these one day when we were out playing Golf - we love golf. And BTW - that was a 3 hour round. Heaven - short golf rounds and some of these suckers. I like the flavor of the Yummy Earth pops MattyR reviewed October 19, 2009 but the size, texture and tootsie-roll-ness of these vault them to my fave Lolly. If you can find em - get em.

We are left coasters but football fanatics all the country 'round. And Josh Cribss, as you may know, is the cousin of Joe Cribbs, former 49er. (Also a great return man, though Josh is superior.)

Petition Tootsie on these! Thanks - the world will be a better place for it.

Great AFC North references, thought you were left coasters? Being a Browns fan, I not only relish how JC is under credited in standard scoring leagues, he is underpaid given that he is literally the ONLY player worth watching on my deplorable Brownies. FIx it Browns! Pay the man! Oh, I'll petition Tootsie on these too, I am a candy purveyor. Late.

Rats, I was hoping I'd be walking down Canal Street one day and some guy in a trench coat would crinkle a sack in my face and mumble in a gravely voice, "Hey Lady, I got some 'tootsie pops' here, real cheap!"

Candy Professor,

I do appreciate a good conspiracy but I think that along with the new flavors they were probably trying out a new packaging. Just cause one is bad (the packaging) doesn't mean they should have thrown the baby out with the bathwater, however. These look to be "real" Tootsie Pops, albeit hard to find ones. Thanks for reading!

Well, it sounds like you are in sucker heaven. But those aren't Tootsie Pops! I mean, the wrapper is all wrong, plastic with a twist at the top. Tootsie is wax paper and smooth on top, snarled at the stick. And the ridge goes around the wrong way. On tootsie pops, the ridge goes around vertically. My point being these were neither manufactured nor wrapped on standard Tootsie Pop machinery. The shape and wrapper of this thing looks like more like a Blow Pop. So I'm wondering, what is it exactly, and where did it come from? Any weird markings on the bag? I understand knock off Rolexes. But knock off Tootsie Pops? on the other hand, if they are as good as you say, then obviously that's just the wrong question. But it might explain why they don't appear to actually be for sale...

"I can roll with that. I can, because I don’t care – because it’s impossibly delicious."
I've only had one of these so far and it was citrus punch, and I felt about them as you've described it above. That's some Carl "The Truth" Williams for you there.
